Below is a list of the general technical specifications of the Type 1 TurnKeys.com 1914-2332cc pump gas Type 1 engines. Note that these will vary due to options, state of development and parts availability at the time of your order.

Engine case: TBD, Magnesium 003 case is the preferred choice currently.

Displacement: 1914, 2165 and 2332cc 

Fuel: Pump gas, 91 octane

Target longevity: 40- 50,000 miles

Target MPG: Variable on driving style, gearing and fuel characteristics

Stroke: 69,78 and 84mm

Rod Journal: VW Type 1 @ 2.165" or Chevy 2'"

Bore: 94mm on all engines

Piston Choice: Mahle, JE used with all Turbo Engines

Rod Length: 5.4" for 1914 and 2165cc engines, 5.500" on 2332 engines

Compression Ratio: Variable and dependant upon area of operation, elevation and fuel grade availability

Cylinder Head castings: Auto Linea new castings sourced from BugPack Performance Products and modified by RAT.

Method of porting: Some engines feature very little port work, or only hand porting at lower output levels. Upgraded 1914and 2165cc engines will feature CNC (Collaborative development of RAT, Hoffman Auto Machine and Bugpack Products) not based on any current design used by other head providers. All 2332cc engines feature these cylinder heads.

Valve sizes: TBD

Port Flow specs: Proprietary

Target Port Flow Margins: 72% average

Chamber Shape: Compact wedge

Camshaft: TBD,  several in house grinds available. Our designers will choose the most optimum camshaft for your application from our Library.

Lifters: Proprietary

Rocker Arms: 1.1:11.25-1.4 ratio with self oiling characteristics, dependant upon camshaft utilized.

Pushrods: Chromoly made by Manton

Exhaust: Made by A-1, Tangerine Racing and Aircooled Technology

Cooling System- RAT Type 1 DTM

Ignition System- 1914cc engines come with 009 distributors with solid state breakerless ignition systems employed. All upgraded engines, 2165 and 2332cc engines feature the Pertronix billet distributor.

Carburetion- TBD, our preference for all engine is the Signature series Art Thraen Carburetors based from the EMPI HPMX and EPC product line.

ALL ENGINES ARE COMPLETE AND READY FOR INSTALLATION WITH NO BREAK IN PROCESS REQUIRED!!! EXTERNAL OIL COOLERS,FUEL PUMPS, FUEL HOSES AND OTHER SUBSYSTEMS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICES STATED.

ALL ENGINES INCLUDE FLYWHEEL, CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE AND EVEN THE RECOMMENDED DEEP OIL SUMP AND OEM VW VALVE COVERS!
